Dear Praying Friends,

We pray that you had a very Merry Christmas and will have a New Year that the Lord blesses abundantly. Over the last several months God has been very good to us, and we are truly thankful. Though we have been busy the last few weeks, we got an opportunity to spend some precious time with our family around the holidays.

Since October 15th, my last Sunday as Pastor of Living Waters Baptist Church, much has taken place. We have gotten mostly settled in our new home. According to our girls, it is now our “Tennessee home,” which is different from our “Georgia home,” or even our “Alabama home.” In their hearts and minds, a place that you live never ceases to be home, you just get to add new ones when you move. They are greatly anticipating their new “Portugal home.” Trinity, our two year old, often stops what she is doing to remind me that she wants to go to Portugal. If you could only hear her say it.

During that time, we have also traveled a few miles. In those travels, we have had meetings in Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Arkansas, and Virginia. The Lord has kept us safe while on the road and provided for every need. During those meetings, we have seen the Lord burden hearts about missions in general as well as the specific need of the Gospel in Portugal. He has also, very quickly raised our level of support to 18%. Praise His Holy Name! Please pray with us that our Lord would burden other churches to gather with us to help evangelize a largely unevangelized country. Our next immediate goal is for our support to be between 35-40% by the end of February, with the ultimate goal to have our preparation for the field finished by December of 2007.

In the first part of November, I was able to go with my pastor, Bro. Chad Sellers to Portugal for ten days. While there, they surveyed much of the northern part of the country praying and seeing the great need in such a dark land. From that trip, we now believe that the Lord is leading us to the city of Barcelos. It is a city of 128,000 people and no Baptist church. Barcelos is a growing city that would give us the ability to minister locally as well as in the coastal towns and the major city of Braga, which has only one Baptist church. In Portugal we met a man named Morintzo who owned a pizza parlor in one of the coastal towns. He spoke six languages, so we were able to find a couple that we could communicate in. He spoke of the difficulty surrounding our task and let us know quickly that he did not believe in anything that he couldn't hold in his hands. We left him several Portuguese tracts that he said he would read, and even gave one to one of his customers while we were there. Please pray that God would begin dealing with his heart.

Thank you very much for your faithful prayers and support. If you have internet access, take a look at our website - www.mbcportugalmissions.com. It has photos, preaching, and a short video presentation.

Yours for Portugal,

The Andrzejewski Family
