Dear Praying Friends,

Wow! It has been a short two months. It seems like just last week I was writing our last prayer letter expressing our thanksgiving for God's provision. Since then, we have gained several supporting churches, and we are fervently praying that more would partner with us soon. While traveling through AL, MS, TN, WV, and VA we were often encouraged by the state of the Baptist churches. One Sunday in Alabama we visited a church that used to drive some 25 miles one-way to pick up Nina for church when she was just a child. The man who drove that van so many years ago, after hearing the presentation of the work in Portugal and the preaching of God's Word, came to Nina and said, “I oftentimes wondered if it ever made a difference.” That seed that was planted so long ago did make a difference. So, please keep sowing seed and let God give the increase.

Our schedule is now almost filled through the end of the year, and we have a few meetings scheduled in January. By faith, we have reserved one-way tickets from Memphis to Porto leaving February 11, 2008. Please help us pray about this on several levels. First, please pray that the Lord would bring in the remainder of our monthly support as well as our setup and vehicle costs between now and then. We have been saving for these expenses since we began preparing for the field. However, the price of vehicles in Portugal is significantly greater than it is in the states. Our current monthly support level is just shy of 70%. Praise the Lord! Secondly, pray that the cost of the tickets will be provided in the next few months as we will have to purchase these tickets by the end of the year. One-way tickets for our family will cost about $3500. For those of you who have expressed an interest in giving to a special need, feel free to send it to our support address with a note letting us know how you would like it applied (set-up costs, vehicle, plane tickets...).

Additionally, we have gathered all of the necessary paperwork for our visas and will be submitting it for approval in the next few weeks. Officially they tell you that visas take about 3-4 months to process, but unofficially we have been told that if everything is in order it should not take that long. Again, please pray that this would be a mere formality that is taken care of in short order. It has now been just over ten months since we left the pastorate, and we are growing increasingly excited about getting to Portugal. With all that we have left to do, it is just around the corner.

Finally, on September 7th we will celebrate Justice's first birthday. He's getting so big that someone asked yesterday if we were feeding him lead, because he was so heavy. The girls are also doing well. We miss you all and hope to see many of you before we depart. Thank you for your faithful support. As always, if you have internet access, take a look at our website - www.mbcportugalmissions.com. It is updated periodically with news about our ministry.

Yours for Portugal,

The Andrzejewski Family
